Gunmen kill kidnapped Bauchi monarch

THE village head of Riruwai in Lame District of Bauchi Emirate in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Garba Badamasi has been killed after he was kidnapped from his palace three days ago.

According to Vanguard, the gunmen invaded the community on March 15.

One of the traditional title holders in the village, who confirmed the development, said the monarch was their target.

He said they shot randomly at the locals, scared them away and abducted the village head.Some community stakeholders had launched a search on Badamasi before he was found dead near the village.

His corpse was taken to the palace of the District Head of Lame in Gumau on March 17, for funeral prayers and subsequent burial in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
