Olu Falae a former secretary general of federation‎, was kidnapped by suspected herdsmen in Akure, Ondo State, on Monday morning

IT WAS gathered that Falae, who was a former minister of Finance in the regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, had been having an issue with herdsmen at his farmland at Famo, Igbatoro, Akure.

Wole Ogodo, Police public relations officer, who confirmed the incident, said 50 mobile policemen had been deployed to the farm to search for the former presidential candidate on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy.

According to Ogodo, Falae had been having a running battle with the herdsmen. He said: “This morning, we learnt that he visited the farm and he was allegedly attack by these herdsmen. But we have sent 50 of our men to the farm to begin the search for him.”
