Hoodlums have invaded the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Orientation Camp in Kubwa area, one of the satellite towns of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja for looting. The thugs armed with knives and other sharp objects blocked the road and ordered motorists to turn back.

They were seen coming out of the premises with mattresses, plastic chairs and other items. Residents in the neighbourhood also took advantage of the unrest to participate in the looting.

The youths were said to have gained access into the premises by scaling the fence catching the soldiers guarding the facility by surprise.

The incident marked the third day that miscreants have been going around looting warehouses believed to be holding COVID-19 palliatives.

Soldiers and other security operatives are firing gunshots to protect the facility and chase the hoodlums.
