House of Representatives rejoices with Lateefat Gbajabiamila at 94

THE House of Representatives has rejoiced with Lateefat Gbajabiamila, mother of the immediate past speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the occasion of her 94th birthday.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, March 1, the House of Representatives described Lateefat Gbajabiamila as not just a good mother, but also a remarkable philanthropist whose commitment to humanity is unparalleled.
The House commended Lateefat Gbajabiamila for her outstanding contributions to politics and community development, noting her historic achievement as the first female elected as a local government chairman in Surulere, Lagos State.
The House further acknowledged her unwavering dedication to the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, highlighting her role as a pillar of the organization.
Abbas Tajudeen, speaker of the House of Representatives, praised Lateefat Gbajabiamila for her resilience and determination, noting that she has been a source of inspiration and guidance to many, including her dear son, Femi Gbajabiamila.
“We are grateful to Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila for her invaluable contributions to our nation and her role in shaping the lives of many individuals, including our immediate past Speaker, whom she nurtured with love, discipline, and wisdom,” the statement read.
