House orders arrest of Apelegun, Keke boss, Prima Factory management

The House of Representatives committee on public petitions have ordered the immediate arrest of Shamsudeen Adebayo Apelegun, national chairman of Tricycle Assassination of Nigeria for failure to appear before the committee to answer charges of financial misappropriation and abuse of office against him.
The committee noted he had been invited for over five times but never showed up.
In a unanimous motion, members of the committee ordered the Inspector General of police to arrest and bring Apelegun to its next sitting on December 3.
A law firm, I.M Iliyasu and co had petitioned Apelegun to the House on behalf of some aggrieved members but he is yet to show up to answer to the charges.
“We are here to make sure Nigerians are happy and will thus not condone any act of lawlessness. The Inspector General of police is hereby requested to bring Apelegun in person during the next hearing” Mike Etaba, chairman of the committee ruled.
In a related development, the committee threatened to visit same treatment on the management of Prima Factory on Badagry road Lagos for their failure to show up at the committee to answer charges against the neglect of one Rafiu Taiwo, their staff who was injured in the workplace but abandoned by the company. The committee warned that companies operating in the country must treat Nigerians with dignity and sense of responsibility.
