MR. Abdullahi Candido, immediate past chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), says he foresees a voting shift pattern in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He said this while briefing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.

“This is the only time I am seeing Nigerians asking for more time to get their voters card, without being sensitised on the need to get their permanent voters card.

“That is a revolution, though a peaceful one because Nigerians seems to be concerned now.

“That is why I am scared for the two big political parties in the country now, because the electorates are ready to change things.

“I will like to advice my party to be mindful of what the people want, let people make their choices and defend it, though not through violence,” he said.

The former council boss also advised the new administration in AMAC to build a united and tolerant area council.

“To the new administration in AMAC, I want to advice them to build on the unity of people, strengthen it and do better than my tenure.

“So that this area council will be able to compete with some states in the country.

“I also want to advice Nigerians in general to be united, tolerant and do things that will promote a peaceful nation,” he added.(NAN)
