IAE 2024 set to shape Africa's Energy future through collaboration and investment

INVEST in African Energy 2024 (IAE) is set to take place as a pivotal forum, fostering collaboration between global investors and Africa’s burgeoning energy markets. This exclusive two-day event scheduled to take place from May 14 to 15, 2024, at the prestigious The Westin Paris, Vendôme, Paris, France, aims to accelerate sustainable energy solutions and promote investments into Africa’s most promising projects.

 “This premier gathering is a unique opportunity for global and African stakeholders to forge collaborative pathways for investment. The forum’s impact extends beyond financial considerations, influencing economic diversification, regional integration, employment opportunities, and the crucial electrification of the region”, says Kunle Odusola-Stevenson, Head Strategist/CEO of Legend & Legacy, official coordinators of Nigeria’s delegation to the Paris event.

Under the theme; Enabling African Natural Gas & Energy Investments, the forum will discuss market outlook, investment trends, and challenges in LNG and also delve into strategies for governments and regulators to support gas developments, along with new technological advancements for enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Another session will examine policy agility, regulatory adaptation, financing sector strategies, and cooperation across various energy industry stakeholders to maximize energy resiliency.

There will be a Ministerial Panel on Mapping Africa’s path in the just energy transition, discussing global environmental policies, growth opportunities, and navigating political landscapes.

The Financing African Renewable Energy Projects’ session will explore groundbreaking financing models, green financing mechanisms, challenges, opportunities, and policy frameworks for investor confidence.

The Opportunities in Midstream and Downstream Investment in Africa session will uncover business prospects, partnership opportunities, and strategies for pipeline projects across the continent while the session on Investment Opportunities in African Petrochemicals will focus on key drivers of the petrochemical industry, African mining, and the nexus between petrochemical demand and gas exploration.
