THE Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Tuesday charged staff members of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan to abstain from any form of corruption.

The ICPC representative, Mrs Njideka Nwobu, gave the charge during a seminar organised for staff of the Airport.

Nwosu, who said the seminar focused on combating corruption within the organisation, identified social factors as part of what were influencing corrupt behaviour.

She added that the seminar underscored ICPC’s commitment to fostering a corruption-free environment and promoting ethical standards within governmental institutions.

The ICPC representative, in her lecture titled “Corruption is a Virus” highlighted strategies for eradicating corruption in the workplace and the environment.

She urged the Airport staff members to embrace intergrity as their watchword, stressing its importance in personal and professional life.

The staff members present at the event were subsequently required to undergo a test meeting ICPC standards, aimed at reinforcing anti-corruption knowledge and principles.

They were equally encouraged to submit complaints and challenges they encounter at the airport via a designated form.

Their submissions, according to the ICPC representative, will be forwarded to the Airport headquarters for thorough review by the management.(NAN)
