Idemmili South Youths on aggressive training for 2nd stage of 1 Youth, 2 Skills Solution Programme

THE Idemmili South Local Government 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution Training Centre, Ojoto has been on aggressive series of training for a couple of weeks now on entrepreneurship.

This is in line with Gov. Charles Soludo’s objective of the programme by keeping the youths positively busy aimed at solving some societal problems emmaneting from unemployed youths like restiveness, armed robbery, kidnapping, violence, touting and all other forms of criminality.

Leonard Nwadike, the lead facilitator contracted from Global Organization for youth Enlightenment and Development Agency  said that the training is in three stages.

The first stage he said was the practical and theoritical stage of skill acquisition whereby the trainees were sent out on four months appreticeship to some owners of established businesses as their individual master trainers of life saving skills like fashion designing, hair dressing, shoe making and so on

Nwadike said that those who made it through the first stage were sent to the second stage by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy with the aim to make them complete the cycle of training.

“In the second stage of training, there is a holistic approach to entrepreneurship where the trainees are taught how to convert their already acquired skill to a money making ventures called business.”

Nwadike said that the third stage is the government empowerment stage where trainees who scaled through the second stage with 70% of attendance to lecture class and with the submission of a bankable business plan will qualify.

A trainee, Arinze Uzewulu said that they have been taught a lot comprehensively both practically and theoritically like Patent right, Minimum variable products, photo type, others so that at the end of the whole training, they will be able to get value in form of cash for the service rendered.
