Ikorodu Talented Kid dancers excite Hollywood actor John Boyega

IKORODU Talented Kids a.k.a The Dream Catchers, have treated John Boyega, Hollywood actor and British-Nigerian born actor to a dancing performance in Lagos.

The actor is currently on a media tour of Nigeria, to promote his latest Hollywood film, `Pacific Rim Uprising.’

Boyega met with the former street kids during the “Homecoming” concert organised by British-Nigerian singer Skepta, who was awarded a chieftaincy title in his homeland of Odo Aje, Ogun State.

He expressed his delight at seeing Dream Catchers perform during the concert with a video post on his Instagram @johnboyega of the “Dancing Angels” on stage during the concert.

The British-Nigerian actor expressed his pleasure at meeting the kids in the caption of the video.

“Lovely to meet the talented kids of @dreamchasersda they took to the stage and lit up the room”.

The Co-producer of the American science fiction film Pacific Rim uprising, organised a private meeting with the kids to appreciate their unique skill and talent.

“We meet again! I have been exposed to so much talent here in Nigeria:It is a breath of fresh air knowing that the art has already influenced the future in a positive way! Keep it up”.

The group was created in 2014 by Seyi Oluyole, the founder of The Dream Catchers, an organisation whose aim includes to get kids from poor homes off the street by teaching them how to dance while providing them with shelter and basic amenities.

Similarly, International supermodel Naomi Campbell who just concluded her modeling duties for the Arise fashion week in Lagos was also entertained by the dancers at a private performance.

Campbell while appreciating the Kids on her social medium platform wrote:@iamnaomicampbell, “My Dancing Angels you warmed my heart today thank you for gracing me with your presence”.

The Ikorodu Talented Kids are prominent for their dancing skills usually showcased on Instagram.

The group have been internationally recognised and tipped for greatness by American RnB artiste Rihanna and Rapper P Diddy. (NAN)
