Ikpokpo Emerges ALGON D-G

A Political stalwart cum entrepreneur in Delta State, Sir Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo popularly called Malik, has been appointed Director-General of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON.
The appointment of Ikpokpo followed his nomination by the National President of ALGON, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, ratified at the 47th National Executive Council meeting of the association held in Abuja.
Ikpokpo was former two-term Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Chairman, Delta ALGON, Deputy National President of ALGON and Chief of Staff to the immediate past National President of ALGON, Kolade David Alabi.
He brings to the ALGON stable a decade of remarkable experience, practical know-how and active involvement in local government administration,
exemplified by his sterling performance in Isoko south.
Ex-President, Students Union, University of Port Harcourt , the new ALGON D-G is a graduate of History and Diplomatic Studies.
The National leadership of ALGON has expressed optimism that Ikpokpo would reposition the association and drive critical synergy towards the improvement of local government administration in line with emerging national and socio- political realities.
He took over from Hajiya Binta Bello whose tenure expired in November.
Ikpokpo who hails from Uro-Irri in Isoko South local government area of Delta state is married to Lady Peikumor Itiako-Ikpokpo and blessed with children.
