SEN. Uba Sani, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, says he will prioritise development of critical infrastructure, if elected.
He stated this on Monday at the Kadunna South town hall meeting in Kafanchan, Jama’a Local Government area of the state.
“I am here to interact with you as party stakeholders preparatory to the 2023 general elections,” he said.
Sani said that Gov. Nasir El-Rufai administration had done a lot in terms of road infrastructure under its Urban Renewal Programme.
The government, he said, constructed bridges and beautified the ancient cities of Kaduna, Zaria and Kafanchan.
The governorship hopeful promised to build on the legacy of the El-Rufai’s administration by ensuring quality service delivery, especially in the rural areas.
Sani also pledged to accord premium to youth and women empowerment with focus on skills acquisition programmes to empower and make them productive and employers of labour.
“We would achieve this feat through skills acquisition training and provision of working tools,” he said.
While urging individuals to provide scholarships to indigent students, Sani advised the electorate to vote for the right persons who have the people interest at heart.
It will be recalled that the govership candidate donated computer centres at the College of Education, Gidan Waya; Kaduna State University (KASU) and Federal College of Education, Zaria. (NAN)
