Import of vehicles surges in Mongolia

Mongolia has imported a total of 49,267 cars since the beginning of this year, an increase of 2.1 times compared to the same period 2023.

Meanwhile, the Asian country has imported 11,280 trucks so far this year, up 46 per cent from the same period 2023, the data showed, according to data by the Mongolian Customs General Administration.

At the end of 2023, there were a total of 1,192,520 vehicles registered in Mongolia, which has a population of 3.5 million, according to the National Statistics Office. (Xinhua/NAN)
