Inauguration: Police laud Niger residents over peaceful conduct

IBRAHIM Sabo, Commissioner of Police in Niger, on Wednesday commended residents of the state for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere that made the swearing-in ceremony of Gov. Abubakar Sani Bello hitch-free.

Sabo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Minna that he was impressed with the orderly conduct of the people.

He said that the Police and other security agencies would continue to introduce stringent security measures to enable residents move on with their legitimate businesses without any fear.

“I am particularly elated that there was no any crime or accident before, during and after the inauguration.

We will continue to be proactive to confront any form of security threat to the state,” he said.

The commissioner urged members of the public to support security agencies by providing information required to rid Niger of bad elements.
