CHINESE President, Xi Jinping, on Tuesday congratulated the Algerian President, Abdelmajid Tebboune, on the 60th anniversary of the country’s victory over the war and Independence.
Xi said sixty years ago, the Algerian people got their independence and people’s liberation after going through a rough struggle, which opened a glorious chapter of liberation for Arabian and African people.
According to the Chinese leader, his country provided support and assistance during Algeria’s quest for independence, and that both countries and their people also forged a profound friendship during the struggle.
He noted that in recent years, political mutual trust between the two countries had been sustainably strengthened, and their bilateral practical cooperation had yielded fruits.
Xi said this mutual had further taken the China-Algeria comprehensive strategic partnership to new higher levels.
According to him, China values the development of the China-Algeria relations, and is ready to work together with the Algerian president to move bilateral communication and cooperation in all fields within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative to benefit both countries and their people.
