THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has re-assured Ndi Anambra of free and credible governorship election in the state.

Peter Oko, the electoral officer in charge of Anambra West Local Government Area, said this during one-day voter education forum on effective electoral processes ahead, November 18 gubernatorial election, organised by the INEC at Umueze Anam.

Oko enjoined the participants to go to their wards and collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs.

He said that effective electoral process commenced from registration of eligible voters and collection of permanent voter cards.

The EO, then, reiterated their readiness to ensure free, fair and credible polls in Anambra.

Collins Nwabunwanne, the transition committee chairman, commended the INEC for organising the forum, saying that it would help in educating the electorate on rudiments of the electoral process.

Victor Okoye, the majority leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly, described the event as timely and thanked INEC for putting together such forum.

The event featured question and answer session as well as a mild drama by the members of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on processes involved in conduct and comportment during elections.
