INEC swears in Isah as REC for second term

THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday sworn-in Dr Mahmuda Isah as Resident Electoral Commission (REC).


This is contained in a statement by the Press Secretary of the INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi in Abuja.
Oyekanmi said that Isah took his oath of office during the Commission’s weekly meeting, which had the Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, national commissioners and the secretary to the commission in attendance.
He quoted Yakubu as advising Isah to be loyal to the Nigerian people and always abide by the provisions of the law.
Isah was first appointed in January 2018 and he served in both Jigawa and Kaduna States before he was redeployed to the Federal Capital Territory.(NAN)
