INEC to conduct mock accreditation for Ondo governorship election in November

THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will conduct a mock accreditation exercise for the Ondo State Governorship election on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

The exercise aims to test-run the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, and result uploaded to the INEC Result Viewing, IReV, portal.

According to the statement by INEC, 12 polling units across six local government areas, covering the three senatorial districts, have been designated for the exercise:

– Ondo Central: Akure South (Alagbaka Primary School, Ijapo High School) and Idanre (Our Saviour Primary School, Open Space)

– Ondo North: Owo (Methodist Primary School, Imade College Gate) and Akoko South West (Open Space, L. A. Primary School)

– Ondo South: Odigbo (St John’s Primary School, Isero Grammar School) and Okitipupa (Open Space, Baptist Primary School)

It added that the mock exercise will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and that only registered voters from the designated polling units can participate        

INEC, however, advised voters to bring their PVCs for the mock exercise and stated that a graphic containing the names and locations of the centres is available on INEC’s website and social media platforms.
