THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Sango-Ota has appealed to Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to improve power supply in Ado Odo/Ota area of Ogun in order to boost its daily operations.

Mr Gbenga Olowoyo, Assistant Electoral Officer of INEC in Sango-Ota, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota on Wednesday.

Olowoyo said that poor electricity supply had hindered the smooth registration of people in the area.

He expressed regrets that logistics problems such as power supply had been the major challenge confronting the commission.

“We want to appeal to IBEDC to improve power supply in the area because we register between 700  and  800 people daily; the poor power supply is slowing down registration,” he said.

He also implored the people to be orderly and refrain from double registration. (NAN)
