Innoson Vehicle Company adds value to nation's economy says Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano has commended Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company for contributing immensely toward economic growth of the nation.
Obiano made the commendation, when he led a delegation of the National Defence College to the Innoson Company, Nnewi, Anambra State.
The College which consists of Nigerians and non-Nigerians was on a 2-day course, to understudy the economic impact of the company to the nation.
Addressing the delegation, the governor emphasised that the strength of every nation was measured by the level of its production capacity.
Obiano noted that Innoson Company had added tremendously to economic growth of Anambra and Nigeria in general.
According to him, today, Innoson Company has created vast number of job opportunities for youths across the country.
“Anambra has a synergy with the company where we train youths on production skills.
“We have just graduated the second batch of no fewer than 500,000 students of our Technical school; who were here on industrial attachment.
“We will continue to support the company in sourcing equity investments at the Nation’s capital market to make it best in the world,’’ Obiano added.
The governor observed that the company’s vision was to phase out importation of fairly used cars, as it would launch its cheapest brand new cars in February next year, for average Nigerians.
The leader of the delegation, Air Vice-Marshal Lawal Sanda described the tour as `Strategic’.
“It is part of the curriculum of the college to visit various institutions, (private and public) that have the capacity in changing the economy of nations.’’
Sanda noted that the aim was to train strategic leaders for members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, ministries, departments, agencies and Armed Forces of other countries around the world.
He said the college had already trained 246 strategic leaders and expressed commitment toward expanding leadership prowess for the betterment of the nation.
Innocent Chukwuma, the chief executive officer, Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company, said the company had trained youths on various degrees of vehicle manufacturing and maintenance through its academy.
Chukwuma noted that the company had the capacity to produce various military and security vans with sophisticated facilities that would aid in clamping down command and control centres of criminals.
He stressed that arrangements had been finalised to export vehicles to other countries.
The CEO promised to consolidate his unending desire toward contributing to the economy of Nigeria by creating more windows of opportunity for youths.
Rommy Ezeonwuka, a spiritual leader of the Igbo nation, commended Innoson Company for its tremendous achievements in the world of vehicle manufacturing.
He urged the participants to continue their partnership with the company, to make Nigeria a better place.
