THE 2016 International Chief Executives Officers’ Economic Summit, 2016, a business summit organised by the CEO Business Journal, will hold on September 15 and 16 in Lagos.

Charles Nicholas, the international coordinator of the Ice Summit, in a statement said the summit would enhance business matchmaking for Nigerian entrepreneurs and SME’s with international counterparts.

With the theme: “Promoting a Private Sector Driven Economy through Partnerships”, the forum is envisaged to create a more healthy economy, attract investment, utilize ideas, and knowledge transfer. “Nigeria as a country and global investment hub has its number of summit conferences and seminars. These summits have taken both local and international dimensions seeking to find solutions to the intractable economic and business challenges faced by the Giant of Africa,” the organisers said.

The summit will focus on strategizing on issues and areas capable of promoting economic diversification and enhancing job creation, including Import and Exports, Telecoms and Broadband, Technology/New Media, Energy, Agriculture, Franchising and Manufacturing; affording participants a wide array of untapped opportunities.

“This event is timely for business in Nigeria, as democracy has made business a powerful voice in providing solutions towards lifting the ailing Nigerian economy. Since trade barriers are falling, new technologies are connecting markets, societies and cultures as never before,” Nicholas said.

Listed as speakers are Professor Pat Utomi; Tutu Agyare, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer Nubuke Investment; Nina Vaca, Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Group; Tony Jimenez, CEO of Micro Tech; Jeff vigil, CEO of My Business Matches and Dr. Shamshudeen Usman, former Minister For National Planning, Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, among others.
