AS part of efforts to improve safety against danger and violence, Ms Raquel Kasham-Daniel, an author, Tuesday, released a book, ” Safety Savvy Kids,” to enlighten children on measures to ensure personal safety and protect them from harm.

Ms Kasham-Daniel, who is also the Founder, Beyond the Classroom Foundation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said the efforts was also to commemorate the 2023 International Day of Education.

According to her, safety for children is critical and required immediate attention, with every child taught how to handle such situations.

” “Safety Savvy Kids” is designed to teach children about safety in an interactive and engaging way, using colorful illustrations and fun activities to keep children interested and excited about learning.

” It covers a wide range of topics including traffic safety, fire safety, and stranger danger, and is aimed at children from the ages of eight and above.

” And it is written in simple language that is easy for young children to understand, and includes interactive exercises to help children retain the information they have learned,” she said.

She explained that the book was her 15th children’s book, which was inspired from her own experience as a mother and her work as the founder of Beyond the Classroom Foundation.

“I am excited to share this book with children and their families. My goal is to empower children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in different situations.

” This book is an essential tool for parents, educators, and caregivers to teach children about personal safety.

” With high poverty levels, crime, and violence, African children are at an increased risk of harm and exploitation.

” As parents, guardians, or caregivers, we are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under our care,” she said. (NAN)
