Investigative Team Arrives Maiduguri Scene of Air Force Accidental Bombing

A HIGH-LEVEL federal government delegation has arrived in Maiduguri in connection with Tuesday’s deadly accidental bombing of an IDP camp in Rann by a Nigerian Air Force fighter jet.

The delegation includes Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president, ministers of defence, information and culture, Mansur Dan Alli and Lai Mohammed, respectively and Gabriel Olonisakin, chief of defence staff.

Others are Sadik Abubakar, chief of air staff and Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff.

The delegation was received at the Maiduguri Airport by Lucky Irabor, Theater commander of Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

The delegatjon is scheduled to visit State Governor Kashim Shettima, Shehu of Borno Abubakar GarbaI Al Amin El Kanem, and the hospitals where those injured from the bombing are being treated.
