Kunle Bamigboye, acting zonal chairman, Western Zone, urges the federal government to sustain campaign against pipeline vandalism in the country

THE Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has called on the federal government to sustain the ongoing war on pipeline vandalism across the country. Kunle Bamigboye, acting zonal chairman, Western Zone, IPMAN, said the sustenance of the war on pipeline vandalism would boost the energy sector and grow Nigeria’s economy.

On the sidelines of his inauguration as the acting zonal chairman, Western Zone, IPMAN   on Wednesday, January 30, Bamigboye said the association is totally committed to work with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and other stakeholders to sustain the ongoing war against pipeline vandalism in the region.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration through the NNPC/Pipelines and Products Marketing Company had displayed unparallel commitment to the rehabilitation of the hitherto comatose NNPC depots across the country, with particular reference to the recent inauguration of Mosimi and Ibadan Depots.

Bamigboye, who took over from Debo Ahmed,  former Zonal Chairman, now the new deputy national president, IPMAN, said Buhari administration had achieved about 90 percent completion to bring the Ilorin depot on stream.
