BREAKING NEWS, Security

–

THE Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has raised alarm about the constant harassment and arrest of innocent people while accusing them of IPOB members. Emma Powerful , IPOB Media and Publicity Officer, stated in a statement that security agents have been intimidating and arresting innocent members of the public.

“Since the May 29 and 30, 2016, cold blooded massacre of our members and non-members inside the church at Nkpor in Anambra State, the DSS and other security agents have been going around and arresting anybody they suspect to be our members and dumping them in their detention cells without trial.

According to the statement, IPOB observed with great dismay the number of IPOB members missing, adding that they are finding it difficult to ascertain the total number of missing people.

“We are still looking for so many of our members, who have been missing since the attack during the Biafra remembrance. We are appealing to the international community to do something about this. Most IPOB members and their families are now living in fear following harassment from security agents. We cannot continue living in such condition just because we are demanding for the independent state of Biafra,” the statement said.
