THE Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has drawn the attention of the British High Commissioner to Nigeria in Nigeria and the U.S. Mission in Nigeria on the deliberate and orchestrated provocation of the current federal government on the peaceful people of South-eastern Nigeria.

“Without provocation and having not committed any crime known to law, a group of South-easterners, numbering more than 70 were arrested, humiliated and detained by Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede, the Police Commissioner in Imo State,” a statement signed by the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, said.

It recalls that Fulani herdsmen are responsible for all the terror activities in Nigeria with their Miyetti Allah, killer bandits, Boko Haram and ISWAP and that despite the daily carnage and mayhem in Imo State by these terrorists, no single man is in police custody.

According to the statement, the police commissioner “is yet to arrest or parade any of the suspects involved in the killings and destruction of farmlands in Imo State, but he had the temerity to detain innocent people going about their business in the state.

It noted that this level of provocation is unacceptable and that “peaceful agitation should not be construed as weakness”.
