SPOKESPERSON for the parliament’s presidium, Seyyed Nezamuddin Mousavi, has said that the inauguration ceremony for Iranian President-elect, Ebrahim Raisi, would take place on Aug. 5.

Mousavi made this known to the Mehr news agency on Monday.

Earlier, lawmaker Alireza Salimi said, as cited by the media outlet, that the event will be held on Aug. 3.

Eleven committees would be reportedly involved in organising the ceremony due to its international importance.

Chief Justice Raisi won the June 18 election with nearly 62 per cent with the turnout totaled 48.8 per cent, which is a historical low.
