Jerry Gana, professor of geography and former minister of Information and National Orientation, 72, November 30. Born in Busu, Niger State, he was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He was chairman, Mass Mobilisation for Social and Economic Recovery, MAMSER; minister of Information in the administration of the late General Sani Abacha and in the first four years of the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
