Jigawa approves N1bn for cardiac centre project

THE Jigawa government has approved N1.1 billion for the construction of the Cardiac Centre Dutse.

This is contained in a statement by Sagir Musa, the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, on Tuesday in Dutse.

He said the State Executive Council (SEC) has approved the fund to facilitate smooth execution of the project.

The commissioner said the council approved over N400 million for the construction and equipping of a diagnostic centre and Cryo-oxygen plant in Dutse.

According to Musa, the develooment is in line with the government plans to establish a medical village, to enhance access to world class healthcare services in the state.

He said the coucil also approved N510 million contract for the construction of a two-storey building office complex of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). (NAN)
