Jigawa varsity gets new VC, Registrar

GOV. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has approved the appointment of Prof. Lawan Sani as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa.

Alhaji Isma’il Ibrahim, the spokesman in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) made this known in a statement in Dutse on Wednesday.

The statement noted that “Until his appointment Prof. Lawan Sani was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University.

“A Seasoned Educationist and Professor of Physics, he was a one-time Provost, Jigawa State College of Remedial and Advanced Studies, Kafin Hausa.”

In the same vein, the governor also approved the appointment of Mr Adamu Muhammad as the new Registrar of the university.

“Until his appointment Adamu Muhammad was the Deputy Registrar of the University.

“A seasoned Administrator Adamu Muhammad was a one time Director Public Relations Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria,” it said.

According the statement, Badaru also reappointed Mr Garba Muhammad as Bursar of the university, while all appointments take immediate effect.
