Jimoh Ibrahim receives Certificate of Return, appreciates constituents in Ondo South

DR Jimoh Ibrahim, Senator-Elect for Ondo South Senatorial District, has appreciated his constituents for the confidence reposed in him to represent them in the 10th National Assembly.

Ibrahim, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate in the Feb. 25 election, assured his constituents of responsible and responsive representation in a statement issued shortly after he received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Tuesday.

The senator-elect said that he would not renege on all his electioneering promises before, during and after the Feb. 25 general elections which he won through their votes.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ibrahim was among the 98 Senators-elect who received their Certificate of Return from INEC in Abuja.

NAN also reports that Ibrahim won in all the six local government area’s of Ondo South by polling 110, 665 votes to defeat his main rival, former deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 65, 784 votes. (NAN)
