ISA Momosani, a Kaduna based entrepreneur and Managing Consultant, Yeryms Limited, on Monday said he would offer scholarship and employment opportunities to 1000 youths through e-commerce in 2020.
Momosani made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.
He said Yeryms limited, with web tool for independent domain and sub-directories for e-commerce websites would offer the youth with the opportunity to establish themselves through product sales.
He said that the youths would be trained in sales, marketing and promoting micro, small and medium enterprises within and outside Kaduna state.
Momosani said the web project seeks to integrate all the major markets, shopping Malls and Plazas, and would help in eliminating roadsides trade in Kaduna.
According to him, the digital site would unify platforms for ease and accessibility through its directory and other forms of e-commerce and marketing.
H also said that engaging the youths through e-commerce would create a network of youths through capacity building, wealth creation and scholarship.
Momosani added that the idea would address the challenges parents faced in settling their children school fees and would be a platform for them to be IT compliant.
“The young men and women can make money from referring merchants, consultants and freelancers to Yeryms products and get paid while in school through e-commerce.
“Yeryms is committed to supporting students financially through its educational sponsorship (YES-O) on 70/30 percent equity contributions by both Yeryms and the students.
“70 percent by the student based on their net worth from marketing activities and 30 percent from the company to make up for school fees in government approved tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
“Through this, the youths would earn commissions and bonuses while schooling as either full time or part time students as each student under the scheme is known and called a relationship manager,” he said.
The consultant noted that the objective was to pave way for education through self sponsorship, curb crimes, idleness and provide for the less privileged and internally displaced persons in the society.
Momosani said those to be enlisted into the programme must be above 18 years of age.
“They must have good communication and persuasive skills to convert prospects into active clients and must also be self reliant, responsible and reliable.”
He, however, said that numerous responsibilities which includes being in control of the entire sign up process from introducing the business opportunity to completion would be assigned to beneficiaries of the scheme.
He further said that beneficiaries of YES-O would be entitled to group life assurance and group personal accident policy in the event of permanent or temporary disability, medical problems or death.
“Sponsorable qualifications and programs includes national diploma, post graduate diploma, masters, doctorate degrees among others.
“The approved institutions includes National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as direct approval in category one and conventional federal and states tertiary institutions in category two.” (NAN)
