Others are Dr Idoko Benson-Ella, Treasurer, Dr. Abdulkadir Kabiru, Financial Secretary, Dr. Abdulsalam Abudulrazaq,  Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joga Joga, Sports Secretary, and Dr. Gidado Muhammad, Welfare Secretary.

The new Chairman, in his inaugural speech in Zaria on Monday, thanked members of the association for electing them.

“I cannot thank you enough for availing me this wonderful opportunity to leverage on the achievements of our successive SOCs and raise the bar as best as we can.

“To my co-contestants, I thank you for participating in the democratic process with the spirit of sportsmanship. I look forward to working with you as a team to advance issues of importance to NMA.

“As I assume this new role, I especially appreciate and welcome other members of the State Officers Committee elected to serve with me for the 2020-2022 Executive year.

“The task is daunting but working together, we shall overcome. NMA Kaduna under our watch will continue to make a ‘real difference’ in the advancement of the welfare of doctors only when we are all engaging, passionate, and dedicated to this mission.

“We will continue to cultivate bold and fearless leaders who are willing to take risks and actions that impact on the welfare of the entirety of doctors.

“That’s why it is so important that all members do their part for the continued success of NMA.

“I hope that our achievements in the next two years will measure up to your generous confidence,’’ Aliyu said.

Also speaking, the out-going Chairman, Dr Stephen Kache, appreciated the process of the election, which was peaceful.

He said as part of his achievements, his executives were able to purchase land for a permanent secretariat to be named Dr Stephen Churchill Kitchener NMA House.

She added that they also provided Personal Protective Equipment to hospitals within the state, partnered with the state government in the fight against COVID-19 and engaged communities to tame the spread of the virus. (NAN)
