THE Kano State House of Assembly has approved the request of Gov. Abba Yusuf for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers.

This followed the adoption of a motion by deputy speaker, Muhammad Butu (NNPP-Rimingado/Tofa) during plenary on Wednesday in Kano.

Alhaji Zubairu Masu (NNPP-Sumaila) supported the motion and was unanimously adopted when put to a voice vote by the speaker Ismail Falgore.

Speaking, Falgore read the governor’s letter on the request to the lawmakers.

He said that the approval was to enable Yusuf to appoint advisers that would assist in implementing his policies and programmes for the people.

“His Excellency has sent a request for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers that will assist him in the consolidation of his policies and programmes.

“After an extensive deliberation on His Excellency’s request, the request is hereby granted by the Honourable House,” he said.(NAN)
