Kano CP in closed-door meeting with INEC REC

THE Kano State Commissioner of Police, Wakili Mohammed has entered into a closed-door meeting with the state INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Riskuwa Shehu.

Although details of the meeting which started three minutes ago are still shrouded in secrecy, it was gathered that it was meant to reassess the security situation in the state especially as it pertains to INEC facilities as a result of the political tension in the State.

Meanwhile, there has been an increase in the presence of armed soldiers and policemen as well as officers of the NSCDC around the INEC headquarters.

Visitors and staff are subjected to a search before allowed entry into the facility. – Punch
