Kano Executive Council approves fund for vaccination, Football League, others

THE Kano State Executive Council has approved the release of N29. 3million for the 2020/2021 vaccination exercise in pastoral communities, which was suspended for three years because of the prevailing health risks and economic losses affecting some communities in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by Malam Muhammed Garba, the Commissioner for Information, and made available to newsmen on Saturday.

The statement said that the council had also approved the release of N274.2 million to Kano Pillars FC to facilitate the smooth conduct of the 2020/2021 National Professional Football League season.

He further disclosed that the Council has approved over N1.2 billion for the completion of the rehabilitation of Ahmadu Bello Way, and N212.9 million for the reconstruction of Dangote Female Hostel at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil.

Other approvals included the sum of N245 million for the conduct of Mass Wedding Program in the state. (NAN)
