Kano Fire Service saves 72 lives, N210m property in one month

THE Kano State Fire Service says it saved 72 lives and property worth N210 million from 90 fire incidents in January.

Its spokesman, Mr Saminu Abdullahi, stated in Kano that eight persons lost their lives, while property worth N52.6 million were lost to the fire incidents in the first month of 2023.

The Fire Service responded to 47 distress calls and 14 false alarms in the same month, he stated and advised residents to handle fire with utmost care to avoid infernos. (NAN)
