
Kano Pillars FC congratulates Rivers Utd for winning NPFL title

KANO Pillars FC has congratulated Rivers United FC for emerging champions of 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional football league season.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Media Officer of the club, Rilwan Malikawa on Tuesday in Kano.
The Media Officer said the management, players and technical crew of Kano Pillars felicitated with Rivers United for emerging champions of NPFL.
“On behalf of Kano Pillars, we wish to congratulate Rivers United Football Club for winning the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League title even with three matches before the official end of the season,” he said.
Malikawa described the new champions as worthy champions who achieved their success through determination.
“We are confident that Rivers United would make good representation for the country in the forthcoming CAF champions league and wish them successful outings,” he added.
Rivers United were confirmed NPFL champions on Saturday following Akwa United’s 2-1 victory over second placed Plateau United who are 10 points behind the Pride of Rivers with three games before the end of the season.(NAN)
