THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi, says the focus of Gov. Nasir Idris led-administration is on improving the quality of lives for people of the state.
The spokesperson of the party in the state, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Assallafi, stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
”I have taken note of the recent press statement issued by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, in which they paid tribute to the founding fathers of Kebbi, as the state rounded off its 33th anniversary of creation on Aug. 27.
”The statement urged the current administration to reorder its priorities.
“While we appreciate the PDP’s recognition of our state’s founding fathers and their indelible contributions, it is important to set the record straight regarding the direction of Gov. Nasir Idris-led administration.
”The administration remains deeply committed to fulfilling its mandate and campaign promises by prioritising the needs and aspirations of our people.
”The tremendous work being done under the leadership of our amiable governor is evident in the area of infrastructure development, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, human and capital development as well as food security,” Abubakar-Assallafi said.
He added that the administration focused on improving the quality of lives for the people, especially through sustainable investments in agriculture, road networks and social services.
”Our vision remains clear; to uplift Kebbi to new heights of progress and prosperity, just as our founding fathers envisioned.
”While constructive criticism is always welcomed as a pillar of our democratic process, it is essential that, such critiques are grounded, in facts rather than political expediency.
“The Idris-led administration remains open to dialogue and collaboration with all stakeholders who genuinely seek to contribute to the development of our beloved state,” he assured.
The party spokesperson assured the people of the state that Idris- led administration would continue to place their welfare and security at the forefront of its priorities. (NAN)
