IN what is to be considered a turning point in her life, the National Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Amb. Kema Chikwe, has announced her disengagement from partisan politics.

‘’I have, during each dispensation, been identified with a particular political party as a registered member,’’ she said.
She had earlier thanked the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, not just for his physical presence at the occasion, but his commitment to the success of the events and his kind recognition of the national role women play in development.
She used the occasion to acknowledge the significant contributions of Senator Pius Anyim, former Senate President and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.
Other dignitaries, who attended the event included Senator Ben Obi, Nze Ozichukwu, Senator Mbu, Jerry Ugokwe, Bekky Igwe, Aisha Mohammed WILAT, Prof. Seth Akutson, Prof. Charity Angya, former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, Prof. Hauwau Yusuf, Taiwo Adebakin, Frank Mbah, Prof. Charles Nwekeaku, Victor Muruako, Jim Ike, Kenneth Okonkwo and Ben Chukwujiama.
