Kidnapped Kagara students released

AT last, the kidnapped students and staff of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State, have been released.
The news of the released spread on the morning of Saturday, February 27, after the students have been on captivity for 10 days.
The abductees were taken to a government hotel in Minna and health officials were said to have been sent to attend to them as some of them were said to be in bad condition and limping. Nobody except government officials are allowed to enter the hotel.
Realnews reports that bandits dressed in military uniform had stormed the school on February 17 and abducted 27 students, three staff members, and 12 members of their family.
The abduction forced the Governor Abubakar Bello to close boarding schools in crises areas. As at press time government officials have not made any statement on the matter.
