KNSG earmarks N20 bn for 4 road projects in metropolitan LGAs

THE Kano State Government has embarked on a massive infrastructure development project, investing over N20 billion in the rehabilitation and upgrading of four major roads within the metropolitan local government areas.
This initiative aims to enhance road connectivity, improve traffic flow, and boost economic activities in the state.
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Alhaji Marwan Ahmad, disclosed this to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.
He said that the state government was spending about N 7.4 billion on the reconstruction of Ashton Road to Airport Road to Club Road to MM Way Roundabout.
” Rehabilitation and asphalt Overlay of airport gate to Triumph roundabout to MM Way Flyover to KSIP Roundabout will gulp N5.9billion
” We are also spending over N 2 billion on the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Sabo Bakin Zuwo Road, rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Muhammadu Buhari Road at over N4.1 billion,”Ahmad said.
The commissioner also revealed that five additional mega road projects were in the pipeline, to further enhance Kano’s road infrastructure and ease traffic congestion.( NAN)
