The Katsina State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab Musa-Musawa, says state is witnessing improvement in quality of education.
Musa-Musawa said this in Katsina on Friday during the celebration of the 2025 International Day of Education (IDE),
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the theme of 2025 International Day of Education (IDE) is ‘ AI and Education: Preserving Human agency in a World of Automation’,
The commissioner said the theme highlighted the need to ensure that education was used to prepare the students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
She further stressed that the investment in education sector by Gov. Dikko Radda, wad already yielding a myriad of positive results.
“The huge investment made on education by the governor is paying off, as the sector records improvement in the quality of education,” she said.
Musa-Musawa said that the education sector remained one of the top priorities of the Radda’s APC-led administration,
” Radda is ever committed to providing the best education for the youths.
“The event also showcased a display of technological equipment made by the students, demonstrating their creativity and innovation,” she said.
Musa-Musawa also praised the students’ performance.
She said, “I am impressed by the talents and innovation on display today.
‘It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers.”
Musa-Musawa also called on the stakeholders to continue to support the government to revamp the education sector.
“We need your support to continue to improve the quality of education in our state.
“I assure you that the ministry is committed to supporting the governor’s vision for the sector,
” We’ll continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our students receive the best possible education,” she said
NAN also quoted the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Faruq Lawal-Jobe, as saying that the state had spent more than N120 billion in the education sector.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE)
AGILE aims to promote education as a fundamental human right and a key driver of sustainable development.
