THE online application portal for Kwapreneur 3.0 will go live on Aug. 31, 2022, an official has said.

The Acting General Manager of the Kwara Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), Mr Abdulquawiy Olododo, confirmed this in Ilorin on Tuesday amid demands from leaders and small business owners.

This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin on Tuesday by Olododo.

The announcement came a few days after the Kwara Government empowered 100 small businesses owned by young people with N1 million grant each to commemorate the International Youth Day (IYD) celebration.

Kwapreneur 2.0 received commendations from the beneficiaries and various bodies, including the Artisans Congress.

According to the statement, the portal for Kwapreneur 3.0 will be open to receive applications between Aug. 31 and Sept. 21, this year.

Olododo said the government continues to receive multitude of requests for business support.

He said offering support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) would help to stimulate the business climate.

“The portal application will be available via an online link on August 31 and September 21 as designed by KWASSIP.

“This is to ensure that all business owners in Kwara are given the opportunity to benefit from this laudable initiative.

“We want to be known as a state that graduates from being a purely civil service state to one driven by entrepreneurship,” said Olododo.

He commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his passion to support businesses and his efforts to create jobs and wealth for the people of Kwara.

The KWASSIP boss said that the gesture was a good way of refocusing people’s attention to business and entrepreneurship. (NAN)
