KWARA has approved N200 million grant as empowerment for 4,000 artisans.

General Manager of Kwara State Social Investment Programme, Mr Abdulquowiy Olododo, told newsmen in Ilorin on Monday that beneficiaries would receive N50,000 each to improve their businesses.

He said beneficiaries were expected to write business proposals and would be called upon to defend same before the disbursement of the grant.

Beneficiaries are expected to upload their 2022 tax clearance certificates issued by Kwara Internal Revenue Service, online.

They would also need to show evidence that they belonged to recognised artisans’ associations in the state.

Olododo said the grant-in-aid programme was tagged “KWAPRENEUR 3.0’’ and was aimed at stabilising the economy of the state. (NAN)
