Kwara Gov. approves Adeniyi’s appointment as Onijagbo of Ijagbo

GOV. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the appointment of Alhaji Buhari Adeniyi as the new Onijagbo of Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara.

Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development,  Aliyu Kora-Sabi, announced this in a statement issued on Friday in Ilorin.

Kora-Sabi said that the appointment of the new traditional rulers followed the long-drawn processes specified under the law.

“His Excellency congratulates the new Onijagbo of Ijagbo on his ascension to the throne of his forebears.

“This exalted position has uniquely placed His Royal Highness in the position to build bridges of harmony, understanding, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence amongst the people,” the statement said.

The governor urged all sons and daughters of the community to work with the new traditional ruler to consolidate on the successes of his forefathers.

He prayed that Adeniyi’s reign of would usher in more progress, peace and development in his domain in particular and the state at large.
