GOV. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara has condoled with the Emir of Gwanara, Alhaji Idris Sabi Kotokotogi, over the death of his wife, Hadizat.

The governor’s condolence message was issued in Ilorin on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Hadizat died on Sunday at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital during a brief illness.

“I commiserate with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwanara, on this sad development, and pray the Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and comfort the larger Gwanara family,” the governor said.

He also commiserated with the Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Salihu, over the demise of the emir’s wife.

The governor prayed God to give the monarch long life and good health to continue to serve the people as one of Kwara’s first class emirs. (NAN)
