KWASU promotes Librarian to Professorial cadre

THE University Librarian of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Salman Abdulsalam, has been promoted to full Professor effective from Oct. 1, 2022.

A statement from the Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, said this followed the ratification of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin (Unilorin) on June 8, 2023.

”KWASU Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman, while reacting to the promotion, congratulated the Librarian, describing him as a professional and worthy academic.

The vice chancellor prayed God to grant Abdulsalam more zeal to continue to add value to the KWASU Library.

According to the ststement, he also expressed excitement at the elevation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Abdulsalam was appointed as the University Librarian in 2022. (NAN)
