LAGOS State Government has commenced the airlift of pilgrims to Jerusalem with the first batch of 350 pilgrims who departed for the Holy Land at the weekend.

Adeola Hundeyin, permanent secretary, ministry of Home Affairs, admonished the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the State and Nigeria while in the Holy Land.

He advised them to live an upright lifestyle that would encourage others and also stimulate their interest to embark on the holy pilgrimage.

The pilgrims were led by Olayinka Oye-Bamgbose, board secretary, as well as the State Operational Teams comprising medical doctors, nurses, clerics and media officials.
