Lagos Begins Sale of Forms Into Model Colleges

THE Lagos State Government, through the State Ministry of Education, has commenced the sale of forms for screening test into admission of primary six pupils into Junior Secondary Schools, JSS1, of its Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools for the 2016/2017 academic session.
Olabisi Ariyo, the permanent secretary of the ministry, who disclosed this recently explained that, the screening tests would be conducted through the Computer Based Testing, CBT, and the regular Pencil Based Test, PBT, which is the usual pencil and computer answer sheet test, adding that candidates are at liberty to choose the version of the test they wish to do. .
The Permanent Secretary pointed out that, the registration of candidates could be done through a customised CD that will be issued to candidates by the State Examination Board after the payment of N10,000 per candidate into any branch of Fidelity Bank with Account No: 5030058723, Agency Code: 77083 and Revenue Code: 32346 or Skye Bank with Account No: 4030010449, Agency Code: 77083 and Revenue Code: 32346 or FCMB with Account No: 0135582346, Agency Code: 77083 and Revenue Code: 32346.
She stated that the screening test is the only yardstick for admission of pupils into JS 1 in any of the State 15 Model Colleges/Upgraded Secondary Schools across the six Education Districts in the State.
Ariyo stated that the screening test will hold on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at all the various designated centres across the State while the pilot scheme of the Computer Based Testing, CBT, will hold at the I.C.T/ Computer Centre of the State Examinations Board, Agege.
She therefore urged members of the general public, parents, guardians, head teachers, proprietors and proprietresses of primary schools in the State to take note.
The 15 Model Colleges/Upgraded Schools include Lagos State Model Junior College, Meiran; Vetland Junior Grammar School, Ifako Ijaiye; Lagos State Model Junior College, Igbokuta; Lagos State Civil Service Model Junior College, Igbogbo; Oriwu Model Junior College, Ikorodu; Government Junior College, Ikorodu; Eva Adelaja Memorial Junior Secondary School, Bariga; Lagos State Model Junior College, Badore; Lagos State Model Junior College, Igbonla; and Lagos State Model Junior College, Agbowa.
Others are Government Junior College, Ketu-Epe; Epe Junior Grammar School, Epe; Lagos State Model Junior College, Kankon; Lagos State Model Junior College, Ojo; and Badagry Junior Grammar School, Badagry.
The forms, which are on sale now, will close on Friday, April 8.
